Numerous types of plants that we often keep in the home can be very dangerous for cats or dogs because they cause stomach or skin problems, but they can also cause dangerous poisoning. This is why we suggest plants that you can grow in your home or yard without worrying about harming your pet if they are bitten.

1. Gloxinia
The multicolored bell-shaped plant often adorns the windows of the home and brings serenity to the space. It is considered a delicate plant, but with proper care it will be a true home decoration and does not pose any danger if your pet also likes it.
Gloxinia suits a place with a lot of light, but protect it from direct sunlight as well as drafts. If you notice that the flower loses its shape and elongates, the plant does not have enough light, and if there is too much light the leaves curl. Water the plant every three to four days with a water dispenser.

2. Green lily or Chlorophytum
The popular houseplant owes its attractiveness to the long green-yellow leaves that adorn the stripes. This plant has many advantages that make it very common in interiors. In addition to looking pretty, the green lily is thought to purify the air and increase its humidity. Only one plant is enough to clear ten squares of a dwelling.
It does not require much care, so it can be grown by first-time adopters. They tolerate different temperatures, but it is best to maintain a constant and moderate air temperature and keep it in a place that is not directly sunny.

3. African violet
African violet or Saintpaulia is a very popular flower that is often grown in homes because it blooms at any time of the year, and the flowering period can last up to ten month.

Although growing it is not so simple, with a little patience it will reward you with beautiful flowers in purple pink or white tones. Violet looks for a warm and bright place, as much fresh and humid air as possible, but make sure it is shielded from direct sunlight and drafts.

4. Orchid
If you love orchids, you can freely put them on your pet safe list and decorate the interior with this extremely beautiful plant. Most orchids bloom once a year, but if you provide them with good care, they may delight you with their flowering and another time.
This multicolored flower plant loves morning light, so it should be placed close to the window in an east-facing room, but should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The plant is watered by immersing it once a week with its pot in a larger container full of water and allowing for 15 minutes to soak up the required amount.

5. Bromelia

This unusual plant has very small and unobtrusive flowers, but that is why the flowering leaves, bracts, are extremely attractive and provide beauty to bromeliads. The plant has a poorly developed root so it stores all the water it collects in its thick leaves that are lined up in a funnel shape.
They are grown in smaller pots and regularly watered so that the soil is always moist, but also sprayed daily so that there is water in the leaf funnel. Bromeliads should be placed in a warm and bright place, protected from direct sunlight.

6. Guardians
Both herbs are often grown in yards and homes because of their many beneficial properties. It is recognizable by its thick fleshy leaves full of water and star-shaped flowers. It is watered very little, like a cactus, and if it is planted in the yard it is not necessary to water it.

7. Bamboo
Bamboo is easy to grow and grows quickly, making it a great choice for hedges. It is also very useful in the interior because it purifies the air, and is also completely safe for pets.
Warning: It should be borne in mind that the ornamental plant Dracena senderiana, that is, lucky bamboo, which often adorns flower arrangements, is not really bamboo-like but merely resembles it and can cause problems if the pet eats it.
